Use variables in templates
Put the customer's name, order number, items, tracking link and more into a message.
A variable is a placeholder that easymessage fills in for each customer when it sends the message. In the template it looks like {{1}} or {{customer_name}}.
Add a variable
- In the template editor, put the cursor where the value goes and click Insert a variable.
- Give it an Example value for Meta's reviewers.
- In the flow's Send WhatsApp template step, choose which store detail fills each variable. The preview shows the result with sample data.

| Cart items with prices | 2× Linen shirt (M) — 1,240 EGP |
| Items summary / first product name | Linen shirt |

Tips
- Variables can't be the first or last word of the message. Meta rejects that, so add text around them.
- For links, put the variable at the end of a button URL, for example
https://your-store.com/{{1}}. Don't put a whole link in the body. - If a value can be empty, such as a tracking number before shipping, send that template from a step that runs after the value exists.
